As you may remember, WetCanvas members were asked to send in their best landscape, still life, or portrait by October 31, 2009 for a chance to be chosen "Best of WetCanvas" by their fellow artists...and win up to $1,000 in cash.
We received hundreds of
wonderful entries, which were narrowed down to the "semifinalists" in each category by our panel of expert judges: Kelly Kane and Anne Hevener.
Kelly Kane is editor in chief of
Watercolor Artist magazine and juror of the Watermedia Showcase competition. She's also juried several local and regional art shows.
Anne Hevener is editor in chief of
The Pastel Journal and juror for the Pastel 100 competition. She has also juried many local and regional shows.
Now, it's your turn to vote!
It's up to the WetCanvas community to select the winner in each of the 3 categories. You'll see 3 polls in
this forum, one for each category. Each of these polls contain all of the "semifinalists," as selected by Anne and Kelly.
Please, vote for one winner in each category by December 16th (3 weeks from today).
On December 17th (once we have our finalists), we will open voting for the grand prize winner of the "Best of WetCanvas 2009" contest, so
