Re: A Covey of Quail - cc's

Hi Charlie, no not at all. I thought it was just conversation, however, I was getting lazy...........and need to remind myself to not let things like that go as I DO think it is important. I am sure Richard would think it was important to have his words sourced as well. He is a very nice, kind person and a great, great instructor.

Donna, this is such a beautiful painting! Really, you did such nice work on the birds (which I have never seen or heard ) Somehow you managed to capture the feel of the group, oops covey, without it looking stiff or staged. Thanks for reminding me of the importance of fractured color too.

Re: A Covey of Quail - cc's

Thank you Donna! I know you would enjoy these little birds. They have personality plus. They are fun to feed, and will come in droves. I was feeding them one winter and then it broke my heart when the cats took advantage of the easy hunting, so I stopped.

I LIVE for fractured color opportunities and find it rewarding. Thank you Richard McKinley!

Today I took the painting to Hood River for the Christmas show. We will see how it does.
