Lawrence: the last one is the best.....
Mette
: I like that Norway window sketch, it is very natural and spontaneous.
Judibelle: Nice colours and so "fall" Nice to see people who are sketching with watercolour.

While I was waiting at the doctor's office.......
I had this magazine photo of an old couple dancing the Tango in Buenos Aires.... Could not resist...

And here's another of the same lady, maybe a bit younger, with a bit of help from my imagination.

Re: Daily Painting 2nd - 8th November 2009

Mette, that's cute! Great cartoon. Your WDE paintings are beautiful and so is the Norway sketch. I didn't do anything on the last WDE, distracted by nanowrimo.

Lawrence, she's beautiful. Love the pale eyes and great features. She looks very proud in both of them, the young and the older version both have that strong confidence. Great portraits.

Alain, powerful portraits of the tango dancers, very detailed and true portraits with a lot of emotion.

Judibelle, I love those watercolor leaves. They have such a great richness to them, the color and the shape and sense of motion is glorious. They look like they're skittering, ready to blow away.

I did a chapter today and got up to 46,278. Then Sascha wanted to watch dinosaurs. She asked me to draw a mama and her little baby sauropod. Then kept adding more characters and animals to it till putting any more would make it too crowded in my opinion.

She doesn't really believe in white space as a compositional element.

Dinosaur Coloring Page
6" x 9"
Black ballpoint pen on white construction paper, from imagination. Original is colored with markers by Sascha but not scanned, she took it downstairs with her to play with.

Alain, that's SO Argentinian, could spot it a mile away.

Mette, great as always.

Hi Robert, Sascha is very lucky indeed to have someone like you to draw dinosaurs for her.

Same lady, in red, yellow, and blue.
