Youtube - music from Amazon

I've watched several Youtube videos w/ a popup across the bottom that allow you to purchase the music playing from Amazon. All kinds of music, new and old.

I have been searching all morning on Youtube, Amazon, Google, etc and for the life of me cannot find how to facilitate this operation.

Any ideas?

Example of what I'm talking about on this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkP0lbxRKok

Hails from United States
Re: Youtube - music from Amazon

Hi, Suzanne,

As I understand it, you can't add this to your own video. These are added when a video with unauthorized music is uploaded to YouTube. Many record labels have a deal with YouTube to add this link, instead of just muting or not allowing the video to air.

So, when you upload a video with music, one of several things will happen:

1. You're using the music legally, in which case there's no problem.

2. You're using the music without permission, in which case the video is declined or the audio track is removed (muted).

3. YouTube has permission to allow the music, as long as a purchase link is provided.

You might do better to scour the web for royalty-free music, which is what I've done. You can even search YouTube for informational videos on finding and using royalty free music; that way, the copyright issues are moot.

Hope this helps!

Re: Youtube - music from Amazon

I ended up going ahead and uploading the video complete w/ music, mostly as an experiment to see how it panned out on a lot of levels.

1. to see if I could create the project, 2. to "honor" some music that has been inspirational to me for a long time, and 3. to try to figure out some answers to the aforementioned question about having the ad included.

so far the video is still up, w/ music, and the feedback from my friends and patrons has been very nice.... no ad, no muting, no angry email.

no lectures on copyright necessary...
