Re: Far away light. WIP.

Gorgeous! I love those moss covered rocks. They really give the feeling of shade and coolness deep in the woods. Wish I was there right now!

Re: Far away light. WIP.

OK. I think I'm done with this one. Had very good time to photograph it for some reason, but this is as close as I can get it to original. I had skratch off and redone the lightest part and like it better this way. So, here it is:

Thank You, Kenny!
Thank You, Donna!

Donna, you got my point, just like usually. From the dark to light at the end of tonnel. Frame was supposed to be the most dark part of it! :-)

Re: Far away light. WIP.

Hi, everybody!

We just found out that this painting made to to the Juried show of York Art Association, together with two of my other works in oil pastel and egg tempera. I'm extremely happy about this fact, Oil Pastel painting got an award of Excellence... I don't know about two others, but they all are in!

Re: Far away light. WIP.

Thank You, Pete!

Yes, I like this frames, not the top quality, but they are OK.
However, in the future I'll need look for better glazing option.

Being naive girl, I visited local frame shop.... they don't have anything better that what I have and never heard about museum glass.I guess I'll have continue to shop on-line, safes time for sure. :-)

Adriana, I just was visiting your blog and I guess you were visiting my thread at about the same time!
What a nice coincidence!

To be honest with you at fist when I started over with pastels this spring, i wasn't looking forward to any shows for about two more years. In the middle of summer I looked at two of my latest works and decided to give it a try. I guess just to check out, if it is already up to the show standards. I sort of set up a target for myself to try to get ONE pastel painting to be accepted to juried exhibition till the end of this year and see, if it is possible.
York happened to be my first show and it was successful. I'm very surprised, yet, very happy. Something in what I'm doing is right and I'm very much looking forward to paint some more! :-)

Thank You for your comments, guys!

Re: Far away light. WIP.

This is wonderful. I really enjoyed waatching it emerge from the paper. I was impressed with the little one you did first...great idea.
This light and the distance are oustanding...what a wonderful feeling it has. The frame works well too!

Sandy
