Re: Links to Sculpting and Casting tutorials

Lady Rando,

I missed something, somehow. I watched your tutorial and saw how you put the magic sculpt on in sections. The color of it is green. You original mold is brown, and that ended up in a pile after it was dug out. There seems to be a missing step for me. You made a latex mold that fits inside the green Magic Sculpt stuff. And, then you pour the hydrostone in that. Did I miss the step on how you made the latex? I am so sorry if it is there in front of me, and I can't see it. Blame in on Starbucks, cause I have to give that up, and maybe I am sluggish. Can you show me how to make the mold that goes inside the green Magic stuff? Thanks!

Look here and you'll see where I painted on the latex in layers before building the the mother mold from magic sculpt.

Re: Links to Sculpting and Casting tutorials

Hi Soren,

Here's a link to website called, Figurines-sculpture.com, written often in 1st person narrative by artist Peter Holland. He explains lots of tidbits, techniques, and tools that he uses in his own sculpting for Coalport, Royal Worcester, and Royal Doulton. I think it's great to be able to get the insider on how he works, knowing that he such an accomplished sculptor!
