Study sketches in Conte

I hope this is the right place to post a couple of head studies sketched from Burne Hogarth's "Dynamic Figure Drawing", pgs. 10 and 11. I'm using both the Hogarth and Bridgman's, "Complete Guide to Drawing From Life" to learn. I found by doing just these two sets of sketches, it made me more aware of the shapes and how the head is basically formed. You will note on the 2nd sketch I wrote Bridgman's, just me being confused as to which book I was using.

The last sketch is of my granddaughter, Sadie, holding her puppy, also using a conte pencil. The reference photo was taken by my daughter. I think for practice I need to either keep the point sharper or go to graphite as I found it hard to get smaller, more delicate lines/shading.

C & C as always, appreciated. Thanks!
