Smile Resource Links...Past Master Painters..Living...and Helps

I'm going to start a thread here...a sticky, that will serve as a resource for everyone wanting to study or observe works of those that paint from life masterfully...both of days gone by and now. I will break it down into a post sharing links to the works of master painters. A separate post for living painters we agree represent the best of today and worth studying, and eventually a post that will share links that might have other interest for those painting from life.

As you add links here...I into to come back, tidy the thread up some (taking your link and adding it to a list) and eliminating unnecessary chat. So, I'll ask that you provide links for us...but we not have a lot of discourse. Start a regular thread to do that...refering back to this thread should you like.

Okay...here goes...

Links to Living (Current) Masterful Painters of Life...

One consideration I had too were living artists that are oft sought out for their workshops...not as a means to promote them, but as a sign their work speaks volumes to artists looking toward their work. Spend time looking...and learn. Doug Higgins says that imitating one artist is plagarism. Imitating a number of artists is research! enjoy...

Re: Resource Links...Past Master Painters..Living...and Helps

I don't remember how I dug up this thread, but thanks to Larry! I'm enjoying reading about the artists of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. My wife and I have talked on numerous occasions about moving to Pennsylvania, to get out of the horrible state of Massachusetts (taxes, the people in general that we've run across, rent, etc.). Pennsylvania would be put us almost half way between the New England area and my home state of Kentucky.
