My NEW website!
Hey guys, gals,
I was going to wait to share my site with the public. But, i decided to now, cause i couldn't wait, i have been working really hard on this. This is my new ARTWORK website. I will also be launching a photography website, with all my pro photography work, it will be linked to the same domain name. Basically two enter pages at 1 main index. 1 side, Artwork, the other Photography.
There is sound.
Same domain as my current: www.conception-studio.com
Thanks for looking!

A bit too busy. Too much stuff to load, when you are on dail-up like I am. Aswell as over 50% of internet users are too.

Re: My NEW website!
I think It's one of the best sites i've seen. Really liked the music. In fact I stayed until it was done. Great job, and a lot of work. Congratulations.

Re: My NEW website!
Nicely designed layouts, but difficult to navigate in places due to the oversized format, which encouraged me to give up very easily. Try pulling things in from the top and bottom edges of the screen, especially the next/previous function, which sometimes ends up 'offscreen' and requires work to find.

Re: My NEW website!
I was skeptical about the music. I love music, but when I look around on the web I've usually got mine playing--so thanks for the warning. There's a lot of noisey ones (here, I show signs of my age...), and this one was subtle, although, my speakers don't work well, so the less volumn the easier it is on my ears--less crackly.
It is a bit difficult to navigate, but absolutely beautiful! I wish I knew more about BUILDING a website. Be proud!

Re: My NEW website!
Looks very professional, but even with high speed it was pretty slow. Personally, I don't like music on a website, maybe it can be made an option. (I like the Tears for Fears version better anyway. )

Re: My NEW website!
Nice site. Very professional looking. Some great art in there also. I did find it a bit confusing to move around in also. I Found it a bit disconcerting to find the slide show controls down on the bottom of the screen, and it seemed to me that were a bit hidden. especially the very small type size. what I found really confusing was how to get back to where I was when I started. No home button I could find. But all in all a very nice website. I didn't mind the music, but I wasn't taken by it. It was just there. But then again, I don't think it detracted from the site at all. It certainly didn't smack one in the face like some sites I've visited.
All in all it was a very nice, beautifully constructed web site. I will certainly go back again and again.

Re: My NEW website!
Justin, great site. I will say though, not to be rude, it did seem to take a while to load and was hiccuping on me a little bit. And I am not on dial-up. I am on cable.
Nice layout though, I like the music, and the design, you did a really great job!

Re: My NEW website!
I like it. Usually when I read that there's music on a site, my first reaction is nooooooooo! but this works well. I like the navigation and the overall look and feel is very professional.
There's a couple of issues I found, the first is that the menu is still available after you view an artwork, so you can navigate to another menu and open a second image behind the first, without closing the first image (if this makes sense?) it would probably be better to inactivate the menu when the image is open, forcing the viewer to close the image before moving on. The only other issue is text over text when some of your work is on screen.
Joe.
