Re: Nautical Theme - wip
I love this, there's a lot of stuff in this -animals and people.
and I would leave it as it is.

Re: Nautical Theme - wip
It's loverly. It shouldn't work because the red doesn't pull through, nor does the violet, but it doesn't bug me so somehow it's balanced. I could with for one of the masts to be thicker but still, I wouldn't change it if'n I had done it.

Well that's fairly uninhibited.

Re: Nautical Theme - wip
Thanks all for the comments! This is a "chance image". Start applying colors almost at random with no goal until something appears. More fun than heavy rendering.

It's great and very pleasing to gaze upon. The colors are so...whats the word...refreshing.

My vote is 'yea' - love the colours and the free feel to it.

Holy smokes! You're tearin' me up with this one, Bob! There's outstanding, never-ending energy here, old bean!
It's a savage visual read that leaves me breathless. You certainly gave the truth to your Cezanne quote with this piece.
Love it!
Besides what to me is your obvious emotional engagement, the work speaks of performance and dance as you 'transform' your subject/theme. Action, action, action...
Bravo!
Let's see more of your painterly hand and intensity...
Ken

Re: Nautical Theme - wip
I think this is perfect the way it is. I hope you don't mind me telling my interpretation. I see battleships with..... bombs bursting in air.... the light blue at the top is what gives it an uplifting feel. The white thin lines that cross make the whole painting shimmer with brilliant light.
Great job!
