Re: Colorful Conversations Week of Feb 6 - 12

My address will be on the package, and if you like the frame, you can reimburse me for costs then. Money won't be tight for several months yet! (And I think it's the other way 'round: I'm blessed; I can do things for others.)

Re: Colorful Conversations Week of Feb 6 - 12

Hey Carol...nice to see you here....I thought sure you were at your meeting....yes, I know exactly how you feel....If I got to church late...I hated to walk in.............ok dear...I'll do the best I can on your eggs....but....I am not a FRENCH CHEF....Yup...the ski resorts around here are dancing in the aisles...especially down in NJ....Well, it appears to have just about stopped here...supposed to be totally over by 5PM....I got maby 4 to 6 inches...I was lucky

OK Midge...you're lunch is hot and loaded on transporter....sorry dear, I managed to break all the eggs...so its scrambled eggs....hope you're having a good rest today...you must need it.

Well ladies....I'm still working on my redheaded woman pastel painting....I totally redid the background(dark green) now I have to redo her red hair....I feel totally exhausted and stressed out to max....I get extremely nervous during bad storms...this old house cant sustain much more damage before it finally collapses....I wonder how Kevin made out...I think he lives close to the city??.....Almost nap time for me....later.....Art

Art, you can't live in a house you're afraid is going to fall down around your ears! While there's still a housing market of some sort, find a realtor and ask about selling! You could be living somewhere warmer, without so much snow, without huge heating bills... Not to mention the taxes.

Who is going to start the next thread? I don't know how, or I would.

Re: Colorful Conversations Week of Feb 6 - 12

Art, I think the general idea is to sell the property before you're forced out. If you have such a large property, remote, with view, surely one of those transplanted city folk will want it? Have you spoken to a realtor? (Maybe to CPA guy, too?) Have a good nap!

I should be sleeping, too. Headache again.

So, Art will start the new thread tomorrow, it's settled.
P.S. Many of those people will tear down whatever is in place anyway, so dilapidation is no obstacle. Think 'property.'

Re: Colorful Conversations Week of Feb 6 - 12

Before the house falls down around you, I would think very seriously about moving. I recommend someplace much warmer. I must agree with Carol, people are more interested in the property than the house.

I think we all needed to rest some today. I am beginning to feel better, but one of my neighbors came by to pick up my stand and told me I look awful. So I think, other than my doctor's appointment, I will hybernate for a few days. I thought I was looking better today, but I guess not. Could be because I didn't sleep last night. (Or could be because I am not good looking lol)

My other neighbor is bringing over dinner tonight. Pork chops and rice with green beans and mushroom soup. She baked it all day, and we will be eating in a few minutes. So you all have a good night, and I'll talk to you later.

CAROL...THIS is a shot in the dark......Do you know how to write a windows.......dot PIF file....supposed to be very similar to a DOS........... .................dot BAT.......file????

Both you ladies are right...but where would I go and for how much???....My old ladyfriend is renting a little, tiny, two room bungalow?.....$570/mo..just rent....everything is electric....her electric bill was about 170--225/mo plus she has to pay renters insurance....I know how much she has to pay for everything....

Anyway.....laid down, sleep like a dead man for one half hour...got up..put on my painting shirt and totally finished my first pastel portrait...signed it off, wrapped it up in wax paper and put it away....Got a very let down, depressed feeling when I did that.

If, and when, I ever do get digicam, I will take pix of that painting and post it here. I'd like to show you guys....but I wont embarass?? myself and post it in the pastel forum...my talent for art is almost zero.

Just put a fresh sheet of paper up on my easel......got out three reference books of mine...one by Harley Brown and two by Ramon Kelley....I have now gone into research mode....both books are filled with portraits and figures....gonna find one I like and try it......

Midge, I'm glad your friend cooked dinner for you tonight, and I hope you're doctor visit goes well tomarrow....I'm just going to have a cold piece of chicken for dinner.....Carol...you take care also......
Talk to you both tomarrow....nice evening to you both....Art
