Lynda,
I started reading your book and several others that I just got on human anatomy, but haven't gotten very far. January has been a crazy month for me too with commissions - which is great. Nice to be able to keep busy doing what we love. Have fun with your owl!

I had a lot of fun with the owl, despite only getting 2 1/2 hours to work on him. I've got pics of him on a thread marked "WSC Owl" or something like that -- it's the only thread in the Sculpture forum I've started in a long time, so it should be easy to find. He's a cutie, that owl -- now I'm thinking of doing some chipmunks (I loved doing the one that's on my cougar) -- just small pieces like this owl, making little tiny bronzes that aren't too expensive and are cute and interesting. Sure was a lot faster to sculpt the owl than it is to do my horses! NO LEGS!! YAY!!! (getting four hooves to match in size and be the proper shape and all that is a lot harder than it looks!!)

Lynda

Re: Informative Sculpture Website Link

this is a step by step of an incredible sculptor, making a concept maquette of a creature. from concept drawing to modelling to painting, the detail in this is ridiculous. fun to see it develope. unfortunately this is posted in a forum so it's a pain to scroll through endless posts but what is posted by the sculptor is well worth a look.

Re: Informative Sculpture Website Link

I'm not sure if anyone can use this, but I made a wing tutorial for sculpted clay wings. Its on my website if you would like to view it. I tried to upload the photos, but they are too large.

You can click on each thumnail for a full size view. I would love to hear what you think. I started sculpting last October. I also have WIP photos on my site. Talk to you soon, Cheri

Re: Informative Sculpture Website Link

I'm closing this thread as many of the links are no longer working. I will rebuild it as 2 new sticky's ... one for all the great sculpting tutorials and one for all the sculpting resources. Give me a few days to get it all done.
