Re: Scavenger Hunt #533: Mar 4 - 12

Wow, all of you have been so busy. Things have quieted down for me, but once I get out of the habit of sketching for the hunt it is hard to get back into it. I'm gonna try.

EP - Nice sketch of the plumbing. I like how you did the coiled rope...mine always ends up looking fat & then thin. lol I like the page of the items together with the umbrella peeking out. I like your clogs and computer. Great non-dominant hand sketches.

Helen - Your favorite shoes look comfy. Good ring and key holder. How sweet that you still have your playhouse china. Your hand tool made me smile.

Ai - Pretty star pendant. Is it glass? Good job on the bristles on the brush...they are hard to do. Nice fist and sneakers.

Jo - Good sketch of your man at work. Can you two remember life without each other? Super sketch of the bar area with the stools and trinkets. Love the pretty lamp and jewelry!

Robin - Love the fun attachment on your key ring. Nice fist holding the grooming tool. Great that you've had that chair for so long.

Joe - Excellent shading on that dead bolt.

1 - power tool - ink
2 - personal grooming item - ink
3 - my fist - ink
4 - a hat - watercolors and ink
5 - something that protects against inclement weather (worn again today) - watercolors

Joan - thank you. I want to do a drill too, for power tool. Love the serene expression in the profile view of the hatted person. Are those comfy snowboots?

Re: Scavenger Hunt #533: Mar 4 - 12

Thanks, Joe. Cool places, but rare visits. Smile.

EP, like your sock feet for transportation. Cool clogs. My computer is my favorite electronic, too.

Joan, sounds like you are needing the boots. Did you lose power? I like the lady in the hat, too. Nice lines.....

Hi, all the rest. As usual I got excited and mis-numbered my sketches. I jumped over number 3, sigh.... These are in the big book with Prismacolor 03.

#7 toy - from McDonald's Happy Meal
#8 hand tool
#9 keys on ring

Re: Scavenger Hunt #533: Mar 4 - 12

EP - Thanks. The snowballs are comfy and warm...hope I don't need them again this year. lol Where did you find the sculpture? Nice lines on the stairs.

Ai - Thank you.

Jo - Thanks. We lucked out with the snowstorm here and only had a few inches. The problem was it was very wet & heavy and pulled down wires and tree branches. Our immediate area was OK...just messy. Michelle lost power overnight and she had a lot of snow. Cute Happy Meal toy. Nice sketch of the tool and the keys.

Helen - Nice, solid looking stack of books.

Yesterday I was at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. These were once
1 - outdoor sculptures - dry watercolor pencils
2 - mode of transportation - watercolors and ink
3 - stairs - watercolors

Re: Scavenger Hunt #533: Mar 4 - 12

Joan - thanks. The sculpture is in a courtyard and I can sit indoors and sketch it through a window. I can sketch it outside but I have to stand and the book will be more wobbly.

Your colourful works including the pub are wonderful! Glad to hear the snowboots are handy

18. sp from behind
This is tricky to do - holding a mirror and the sketchbook in one hand with my back to another mirror. Wow! Hence the 3/4 behind/profile. I thought it was pretty good until I saw a photo of it. Alas...

Cheers,

Re: Scavenger Hunt #533: Mar 4 - 12

EP, great stairs. If I stare at them I get and Escher feel. Interesting sculpture.

Helen, nice books. Looks like a digital. I like the feel.

Joan, mmm, nice visit to the museum and finding sculptures. Cold transportation scene. Lovely stairs. You amaze me in getting out and about. Makes me feel lazy ... well lazier.

EP, You made me chuckle with your backside. Definitely not easy. Applause!

I did the lazy thing. Took a chair and the big book to the corner and did our mailbox with Micron 05 for the scene. Wanted to show it was a whole page in the big book. The fist is with Micron 01.

Number 10, mailbox
Number 11, flag
When I took the photo I realized I had outdoor sculpture, too. The stars are made with railroad spikes and the larger has horseshoes, too. So number 13.
Number 12, fist

Thanks, EP, for the Hunt. See all y'all on the next Hunt.
