hi maureen and viv. thanks for the welcomes

i have started on my frangipanis. i had no idea flowers were so hard

the good thing about acrylics is that when you stuff up, you can just paint straight over the top.

Hi Everyone , Hope you All have a wonderful Christmas

Here's my effort for this month,

The Bible on the table was my great grandmothers 1849 - 1919, my grandmother put it out every Christmas and when grandma passed she left the bible to me

ArtRage wc and felt pen

Did this one a couple of years ago

Wow - what beauties!
Dewi - lovely painting, lovely idea!

Panth - as soon as I merged your posts, both attachments showed and as this is a particularly lovely painting, it's worth seeing twice!

Jean - I wish great-grandma's Bible had come to me (in our family) unfortunately. others had a different idea!
This is very poignant and beautifully painted ........ love the robin too.

Thanks you all for being so prompt and producing these delights at this busy time

Thank you all! Jean, your painting is lovely, with a great story attached to it. Nice to see a painting framed within another painting. Prabha

Re: The Plant Parade: a forum project. December

Well, nothing like a deadline to prompt me into action! Only my photo, as I haven't got a hope of painting this before Christmas. So here I post, in the spirit of... I love my lady's head planter; she goes through many head dresses through the spring and summer and I try and do a winter arrangement as well.

Hmmm, edited to say that now that I've posted this, I think I need to wrap something colorful around that black pot...

Dewi, I love your water lily, I like the candle in the center. Lovely!

Panth, that's a beautiful painting, lovely colors and I really like the spattering!

Jean, that's just wonderful, I like how you incorporated your Grandmother's tradition into your piece, it makes it so personal. Your cardinal is marvelous too, we don't get those here, I'd so love to see one.

Katherine, your snow people are so cute! Love the snowy effect, how'd you do that?
