Nice work Ganapathy, good to see you here.

Re: January 2013 Watercolor Challenge - Amish Father and Son

So many nice paintings/drawings of this wonderful subject. Thank you Doug for this months challenge.

Here is my attempt - a quick drawing - ink and watercolor on 7 x 10 mixed media drawing paper - made them both a bit heavier than the photo. It was fun to do - thanks again.

Barbara

Nice sketch Barbara.

I hope this challenge has made everyone more confident about putting figures in their paintings. If you need more practise see the Mini Class on "Putting People in your Paintings"

Re: January 2013 Watercolor Challenge - Amish Father and Son

Last minute effort!

Haven't painted for a long time, so thought I'd give this a go to try to get back into it:

6x9in, Winsor and Newton paints

Proportions are somewhat off, and I lost highlights that I was wanting to preserve, but it was fun to get those brushes wet again

Well done everyone, and thanks for the challenge, Doug!

Well done Elaine, I am so glad it got you painting again. I hope you will like next month's challenge.

If anyone is still working on this, just post in this thread, I'll be keeping an eye on it.
