The Late Mr Jobs - FINISHED
My son is a huge computer fan and for the past few months has been nagging me to do a portrait of the late Steve Jobs to put on his bedroom wall. I have been a bit apprehensive in doing it, one - because I haven't drawn a portrait of anyone famous before and second, because I'm not sure about doing glasses - I'm still learning so a few firsts here. Anyway here is where I am at the moment.

Its 23cm x 29cm on Bristol Board using Faber Castell 9000. So far I have used 5H and 2H.
I know it's very pale - I wanted to put a layer of graphite down so you could see it a bit better.
All C&C welcome and thank you for looking.

It looks just like him. Very well done. Can't wait to see more.

Re: The Late Mr Jobs wip
Thanks Sean and Ady.
Couldn't do anymore on this last night because we had a powercut for hours, where the whole area was in darkness - might have been something to do with the local fiesta, live concerts and a power surge!

Re: The Late Mr Jobs wip
Good start, Karen. I thought about drawing, him, too. But that was as far as *I* got.
And you have your own fan, right there at home. That is great, first that he wants your work, and then of someone that is a motivator, to him.
Girl, you can do it!!! I have complete confidence in you.
Hopefully, will check back to see the progress.
Bless you folks. IRma

Re: The Late Mr Jobs wip
Thanks Irma, for your reply. Any new product of A**** that is launched, our son has to watch the video, read about it inside & out, then goes on to tell us in great detail all about it - in a way that any normal person would not understand!! He's even made videos of himself on Y** **** taking about their products that he has at home. I tell you, he obviously gets it from hubby 'cos it certainly is not from me .

Re: The Late Mr Jobs wip
Here's where I am at the moment. I've put a light layer of 5H and 2H all over so I can see if everything is in the right place - because I'm a little scared that it won't look like him. I've started darkening up from the left. All C&C welcome and thanks for looking.
