Down in the Dungeon.-

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend.

I'm back with some new work. With this new illustration I wanted to continue the adventure and exploring theme that started on “Jungle Temple”. Here we see the Man in the Hat in a dungeon, just about to pull the lever that will lead him into a mysterious room, bathed with light.

Name: downinthedungeon 800.jpg
Views: 252
Size: 291.0 KB

Size: 16 x 12 " Painted with Winsor & Newton Cotman.

C & C always welcome!

Antonio

Antonio, if those are bones in the reflected light beside him on the floor. . .he may not want to check it out!! Wonderful details and love the skylight, too! Bet it smells like my Grandmother's cellar!!

Re: Down in the Dungeon.-

Thanks everyone for looking and commenting. It's true this has some strong influence from computer games. I must confess I have been into videogames since I was a kid, and I still think their strong visuals are very interesting, and when they are well done, they can be inspiring, inmersive and beautiful. Some of my palettes choices are strongly influenced by the work of Lucasarts and their classic adventure games in the 90s (Monkey Island saga and more).

There is sources of inspiration everywhere. It's just a matter of finding the one that works for you!

Interesting concept about the computer games you play influencing this painting. Nice bold colors and great brick work!
