Hi guys, what do you think? (Sorry about the quality of the photographs, I don't think it captured the drawings very well, especially the second picture, but you can get a clearer representation if you move your head closer to the screen )

You do need to provide better photos, or perhaps light them better - natural daylight is good.
I will only comment on the portrait drawing - the head appears too long, perhaps too narrow.

Why can't you comment on the first two? There visible enough.

I think the head is to long because I had to re-size the file out of proportion to meet the websites limits, looking at it in reality it seems to be proportioned well.

Hi Mr / Mrs Winwood. The first two drawings appear to be unfinished, I am guessing the first is an abstract drawing of a plant in a basket, it is creative but I think it needs more substance and solidity.... It really depends what affect you are trying to produce? The second one appears to be a set of sketches, unfinished. With tonal balance added (Darks, shadow, shading and fine detail it could be very nice. The third, I agree, it looks long but could be your size alteration, it is a good start to a portrait and the expression is in process quite well but does need to be finished with tone and detail. More work on these could prove much more interesting drawings. Good luck and cheers =)) Debs.

What are they? Pencil? What sort of paper?
Any references used?

Has the photo been taken from a slight side on view,this may give the slight elongated view.
Anyway they look good to me,are these just started or finished,we need more details please

Debzy: I wouldn't consider it completely abstract, though a lot of the features of it are improvised and aren't a imitation of how it really looks.

What do you mean substance and solidity? Shading? Or more features added?

Andrewcody: I'm not sure which pencil I used, it's been worn down so I can't read the type name on the side of it lol, the paper I used is Bristol paper.

Trumper: Yes, I did, I was trying to avoid my shadow being cast on the paper , and there WIP's.

Yes, by more shading and detail to make them appear solid rather than just line drawings. Tonal variations from light to dark and shadows and highlights.... that sort of thing! Good luck and keep drawing, the foundations are there!!!!!
