Well gang, this is actually the first one. I needed to post it on my website, so I tweaked with it. Also had a green matte laying around, so I thought I would photograph it with the matte. I kinda like it, and this is very close to the real colors.
I'm doing the underpainting on the second one, so that update will come later.

The second one is currently still sitting untouched on my easel, I need to get through Easter Sunday. We host the annual Easter picnic at my house, so lots of rose garden prep going on. I'm hoping I'll get to pick it up again either Sunday evening or Monday.

I've worked on a few black canvases myself and the colors just seem to jump out at you don't they. |
