Etching hard ground problem
After applying Charbonnel hard ground to my plate, I suspended the plate upside down to smoke it. Unfortunately, my suspension device left four tiny areas where the ground was removed. I don't want these areas to etch. Can I use a stop out varnish for these areas? Will the stop out varnish adhere to the hard ground? I don't want to reheat my plate and reapply the hard ground because, I've already started incising the plate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
