Re: Airbrush Poll
my "aresenal" at the moment includes
Olympos- MP200C micron, HP100-C, and HP100-C
Iwata- 2 CM-SB, HP-CS, HP-C
H&S Infinity 2 in 1
Peak X-5 (junk)
I do a mix of "fine art" and automotive. My Infinity and HP-CS are my designated "solvent" airbrushes, the rest I use mostly E'Tac EFX or Wicked detail through. The Olymposes would have to take top spots, but the Iwata's are very close.

Re: Airbrush Poll
Yeah, I love it. I was lucky enough to score mine used. Still in perfect condition. The artist I bought it from took VERY good care of it. I'd say a stock MP200 is comparable to a tuned CM. Plus, you get the whole "collectors piece" value out of it.

they can be sourced much cheaper in Europe ,also an Olympos MP comes with a spare head unit so when this is factored in the MP isnt a bad deal

Re: Airbrush Poll
I do fine art painting (well, some day it will be fine) and have the following:
Iwata HP-B
Iwata Neo SB
Iwata Neo BC
Badger Patriot
Grex Tritium (trigger pull)
Since I got the Grex and Badger I hardly pick up the Iwatas at all. My instructor swears by them, but I find the Grex to be the gun I have been looking for.

Re: Airbrush Poll
One Iwata CMB, and six Paasche VLs. I have about 30 other airbrushes (give or take; I own more than 40), but these are the ones I regularly use...

Re: Airbrush Poll
After I posted this about the Grex,I have been having some problems with the needle. As a warning, they are really soft. The Badger's needles are like spring steel, and the Grex is like aluminum, it dries me nuts! the overall design is great, but that needle...

Re: Airbrush Poll
For the most part I stick with the Iwata Eclipse and some Paasche's. I have come to find that the more expensive airbrushes are not always more appropriate or "better". Most of it comes with control and practice. There isn't really a project I cannot handle with what I have. Fine tuning your skills and understanding of the tool is crucial.

Re: Airbrush Poll
Ive added a couple of richpen gemini-b & c, mojo 1st gen, peak c3 & c5, badger 100lg and couple anthem hybrids.
The gemini are sweet guns, sidefeed makes detail work easier and the c model has a larger cup with locking cap.
I do a lot of different mediums and substrate, ie canvas, illustration board, tshirts, walls etc. Ive got a solid range of guns to cover it all.

Re: Airbrush Poll
I have a Badger 250. It is single action and very basic. Not meant for illustration work, I use it to spray acrylics for background colors and topcoats. It gives me freedom to mix colors at will and lay down a professional finish.
