Well, there you go! How about some moon glow, maybe a few stars? It feels a bit bare with just the two of them in the dark midnight sky.

I don't understand why you want to include the lines. They really don't add much to your lovely piece. Are they symbolic of something? Or are they just grouting between the tiles? I'm fishing for an answer.

I like the way it breaks up the negative space

I dont like the lines.
Did you try the lines in another color? Maybe much less contrast to the black?
Like use the purple? Then they would be very subtle.
