Have been at the Church sorting through sacks of can goods that were given to the Mission House by the letter carriers! We had 28 helpers, so got them sorted in a couple of hours. . .wish I could remember how many pounds there were! They donate to us once a year, but this was the most! Now the guys have to carry them to the Food Pantry and store the ones we do not have room for at this moment. We are open tomorrow, so a lot will go out the doors then! Will go back to the MH this afternoon with my teenagers to finish getting ready for the Clothes Closet clients.
Two of my teens will graduate this year. . .will miss them terribly because they are leaders and the other kids look up to them. But, with that foundation we have started we should be smooth sailing next year, too! And, this summer!! I told them that school ends, but the Mission House just keeps going and they are willing to help us out!! They get Community Service hours, but they have kind hearts, too!
Interesting info on the vacuums! Meryl, I am sure you get to see all the brands!
