The level of detail certainly looks finished particularly in the bones and tendons of her hands, very well captured. The only area that looks a little odd is the calf of her right (lower) leg looks a bit wide. It is in a less defined area though so does not distract from the centre of interest.

It looks good! In your next work take note of the face. In this one the length between the eyebrows and the bottom of the nose is to long. Some good rules to remember are:

If you draw a line to mark the eye brows, then draw a line to mark the bottom of the chin, directly midway between these points is the bottom of the nose. Midway between the chin and the bottom of the nose is the mouth. ;-)

As to other features like the mouth, each end should line up with the middle of the eye above it, just as sides of the nostrils, where the nostril meets the cheek, should line up with the Caruncle ( the Caruncle is the small muscle to the nose side of the eye, in the corner).

You can also find the correct location for the ear by lining up the top of the ear and the eye brow, the bottom of the ear and the bottom of the nose.

Its all a road map to human proportions and holds true for most people, barring some kind of damage or deformity. There are other rules as well concerning proportion that can found in any good anatomical drawing book or probably online as well. But overall I think you did some good work here!

Re: Reclining nude (nudity)

Wow this is rather large size, would this make the figure almost lifesize?

I think it has a lot of merits going for it-- I firstly do like (what I perceive to be the COI ) the hands area. And like the umber tones.

I think the thoughts about the nose could be correct.

all in all its a nice painting.

It's beautiful, Ian, I love the diagonal positioning, which adds a lot of drama, the limited palette that keeps it unified, and the overall expression of the figure with its restful pose.
