Star of Era, x-post
"All threads lead to the Star of Era, each thread affects the ultimate result of the future." from 'Zerria' by Steve Carmer.
This is the first concept for a wraparound title cover, thinking of changing the center a bright ruby red (the star is a ruby; 12 faceted). Wanted something that might appeal to YA readers, maybe stronger colors.
This was pencilled, then inked, then colorized with PS* after a thorough clean-up, on a 12x16 graph paper.
C&C's always appreciated, Greg.

Re: Star of Era, x-post
Here is the Star in red background... totally different effect. I always keep a copy of the original B&W so I can just keep duplicating and changing. C&C always welcome, Greg

DominicM: Thanx for the look and comment!! This turns out to be a WIP, with an endless number of variations possible over the basic pattern.. maybe I should sell it to a fast food chain for their kiddie meals.

Re: Star of Era, x-post
The Star also morphed into a T-shirt pattern for an NA convention, but was cancelled at the last minute by the wife of another artist who demanded her husbands (very good) pattern be used instead.
Thanx for looking Lee
