Hails from France
Hello from France!

Hi everyone,
I've just discovered this amazing forum and I'm thrilled to be here!
I took up drawing last september and practise as often as I can (mostly every day.) I started with pastels but was soon daunted by the use of colours, so I switched to graphite to try and concentrate on what I really want to work on, that is, the modelling of the face, real or imaginery. I've got a lot to learn and I'm trying hard!
Before that I made jewellery for about 20 years, using many different materials in the beginning until I discovered polymer clay and used it as my favorite medium for 11 years. So if I can be of any help here....

Re: Hello from France!

That is so awesome, I'm sure the folks at the Clay Forum would love that. I just started making jewelery too, I've just figured out how to do links though, nothing fancy yet.
Sound like you would like the portrait forum. They are so nice and there is so much info and how to's there too.
If you need any help navigating the site, there's stickies at the top of this forum as well as link in the signatures of the guides and mods and admins. Or you can ask here as well.
Welcome to Wetcanvas.

Re: Hello from France!

thanks Virginia, thanks Jon
There are so many things to see here, I'm trying to get familiar with the site. Thanks for your advice.
I'm going to have a look at the clay forum too. Good luck with the links Virginia (it's probably not the best part of the jewellery making process, but they're elements of your design, and as such they've got to be done as well as the rest...)
Have a nice day,
Catherine
