Re: I'm a lucky guy!
Thanks for the encouragement, my friends. I've checked out the measurements to see what I must change to make it consistent. The eye on our left must go up, the top of the forehead move to the right, the mouth slant down on our right side, not sure how it will affect the nose yet but it all means that the ear will be a bit too high but that may have to stay that way. The areas I had adjusted to fit the drawing reference are the eye on the right, the chin and the profile line running from the eye to the chin. Good lesson in keeping the consistency of your source.

Anyway, Bren and Carol, a face is appearing - yahoooooo!!!!!
I think this mouth is going to be the most difficult I have ever done. It is still far off. At least it is starting to look like a child's mouth. Earlier it was more like a woman's mouth. I think I may even finish the eyes before the mouth . But mouths are a challenge I relish so I'm really enjoying this part of the drawing. In Port Alfred this week so no drawing

I have full confidence in you that you will get all the nits worked out...at least she has a face now! Hurray!!

Re: I'm a lucky guy!
Alright. This is number whatever in my series of unfinished pieces. The troubles I thought I had with it are not as bad as originally thought. I figured as long as it represented her it doesn't matter it it isn't done precisely to the last micro-millimetre. On the other hand, it would be nice ............ NO!!!!!
Here we go again.

Beautiful, Michael! You have managed to capture that sweet face...It is great to see how working with the big shapes can give you a likeness of your subject. Love those eyes.

Nice model, much feeling there and a good pose - this should make for some nice work!

A little rest is often all you need! Great to see this lovely girl making a come-back!

Thanks Luicre. I was going through a lot of frustration with my drawing direction at the time and all I saw were the problems. But like Gerri said:

Not only beautiful, she is the most gentle, loving, wonderful person you could hope to meet. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Terry. It's been quite a challenge because there is such subtlety in the softness of her pose that the slightest variation can change her expression.
