Re: Scavenger Hunt #267: May 5 - May 13, 2012

Paul - Cute story about your nephew! Those toddlers move fast. I am in complete sympathy with him, I'd want to open all the candles too.

Irwin - Great sketch of an excellent painting! Love it.

Eyepaint - Nice double up on the hand challenge. You got that ovoid sense to the hotpot.

Kivrin - Looks like a comfy chair. The back is particularly well done.

Here are my last for this hunt I think. It was a great list Jo, wish I could've finished it! All crayon and micron pen, 5 or 10 mins.
#15 Yard Art
#16 Corner of a painting - oil pastel of a couple lemons I am currently working on
#17 Art supply - couple oil pastels

Here's a photo of the painting in progress.

#18 Fence - that one post truly is that wonky in real life, I swear. The whole thing is pretty wonky since it's built from pallets.
#19 Recycle - Crocheted lace trim my grandmother cut off a couple pillowcases. I sewed it onto the hem of a dress I made.
#20 Bucket - Compost pail with #21 Slippery - banana peel
#22 Trash bin
#23 Flower trim

Re: Scavenger Hunt #267: May 5 - May 13, 2012

Jo: Thank you for hosting and sending the good vibe for us. The girls are doing OK after we have a week of family jet-lag. Nice Bolivian pots from you. Don't blame yourself for not painting/sketching. I have been quite lazy this week as well. Great to hear about your painting sold and great pastel art night turnout.

Arnica: Your sketches are inspiring. I exp. love the corner sketch of your yummy oil pastel painting. The lace recycle is very delicate and nice.

Joan: Wonderful plein air and the french looking yard art shop. Nice paint brush too. Cool candle and ref. cooking book. It is great you get to paint outside the car more. Thailand is very very hot at the moment.

Barbara: Gorgeous flowers.

Marriam: Great group of soap and the cover bottle.

Robert: Nice to see your flowers as well.

Kivrin: Nice chair for the foot stool.

J: So fun EDM series from you, cute spoon layout and the folded Xmas bag.

Paul: Your sketches are nice too, like your feet and cup. Nice details on French book.

Hocky: Fun Ringo sketch and cool painting. I wish I could tour your studio or artful walls in your home. Have you put that on a blog anywhere?

EP: Nice sketches as well, esp. the appliance.

If I miss anyone, I apologize. See you at the next Hunt.

I've enjoyed looking at everyone's sketches. Don't have time tonight to comment on them. I think they show this was a great list.

Thank you Ai! Very nice collection of feet. I love the one showing the bottom of the foot. The hand and tin of colored pencils is so well done! How exciting for your daughter to be starting school. I hope her first day goes well.

Carole that's an excellent hand and mug sketch. Glad you got it in before the finish!

See you all on the next hunt!

Re: Scavenger Hunt #267: May 5 - May 13, 2012

Hi everyone. Happy Mother's Day to the moms out there.

Irwin, your coffee mug has the perfect shine on it. Wow! Great canned food and laptop and stool. Looks like it might have feet like my table, claws. Your real feet are very well done, perspective and all. When I saw your painting corner, my mind went back to last Hunt and the self portrait. And I thought he is a bit retro! Ha! Nice work.

Joan, beautiful candle and slippery butter. Thanks for the Mother's Day! Your paint out sounds like fun.

Paul, good bucket and Murphy's Soap, looks like work to me!

Danae, love the safety pins for security! Nice iron and the rest. I still haven't bought an iron! Cool soap and cover. Hopefully we won't get snow in July when we come up, but you never know! Your fence sounds great. I like your flower and recycle. Nice memory saving. Made me smile to think of the flamingo in your yard in the snow! Your lemon painting is beautiful. I have such a hard time with oil pastel!

Paul, you are so right about typing and posting. I spend more time on the computer than drawing and painting.

EP, hi stranger. Such nice work .

"J", see you on the next Hunt.

Kivrin, I like your chair. You got some great shadows and highlights.

Ai, Great set of feet! Different cup for my collection. Good job on the art supply. Can't believe she is starting school. Yikes, how time flies??

Carole, ah such a lovely and and cup for my collection. Thanks. Happy that you joined in, have a great Mother's Day, too.

Posting my cup and hand again as I added color with colored pencils when I did the flowers. Otherwise same sketchbook and pen.

Number 7, flower. Actually they are number 8, I didn't count my hand. Ha. The Indian blankets usually have wider petals at the ends. This one must have had a hard time it was in a corner near the tree, maybe too much wind.

See all y'all on the next Hunt.
