Triumphant Return
I have put this miniature painting in two other places, Miniature and Marine. The painting is about 3 " x 4" acrylic. Brian gave me the name of the painting!! Love the name!!! Any way, here is the latest. Have just a few touches here and there to finish the piece. Here it is.

Re: Triumphant Return
James, that is absolutely stunning. The sails are great. I am in awe that you could produce something so perfect and yet so small.

As a artist we many times do not think that our work is perfect. I still have not got what I wanted. Owell. We just love to paint anyway!! Thanks for the very nice comment! We always like the pat on the shoulder!! Have a great day. Happy Mother's Day!!

Great piece!
As a 'reformed' commercial artist, I remember the rule:
If the client is happy
(i.e. they are willing to pay you!),
then you smile and say,
"That's
EXACTLY
what I
INTENDED
to do!!"

Re: Triumphant Return
Great Walt!! So true!! Some times we paint a area and some one comes up and says, "this looks like Mt. Whatever" You then say yes. Always a positive.
Going to work on another seascape I think. Miniature. Will see. Mean while, I am going fishing!!

Re: Triumphant Return
Beautiful painting, you use a great palette. The sails look like full sail ahead, except for the reefed sails at the top...but the beach and rocks look awfully close for the speed she must have. It makes me hope there is a channel out of sight to the right or she going to run aground. Keep up the good work.º¿º
