Re: cow

I like your brush strokes and the sun spots in the background. I also, like how the cow looks like he's going to put his nose right up to me.

Re: cow

nice! I'm guessing Jersey - or Gurnsey.. i sometimes have trouble telling them apart...
and, mcassast.. that would be "she" - "cow" is female, "bull or steer" is male.
just sayin.... because my city-boy hubby once made that mistake in front a bunch of ranching kids at a youth outing.. and he got set straight real quick!

Re: cow

Thanks stephanie I'm a country girl too so love cows.nosey things tho.
Grace,it started as quite a tight painting but then somewhere I just decided to slap on paint .I'm just learning so having fun. FIrst time doing a background and I know the colour tones aren't right but at this stage so have to be brave with mixing colours.
Mtnrunner yes it's a guersney. love jersey's too

Re: cow

I love cows. Just can't wait for summer when they are all on the lower slopes of the Alps again. Yours is just gorgeous - the lovely brush strokes give this so much life. Love it.
