WDE 11 May Chicken of the Sea
15x22 watercolor on 300 lb cold press paper, drawn with Micron 01 pen today in 10 minutes, then painted in 1.5 hours. I laid strips of cotton gauze (the kind we used to have in surgery called 'Kling' wrap) on the fish then spritzed green, blue, and yellow dilute watercolor in spray bottles, let dry, pulled off, then mixed grays for the rest. Splattering was done at the end. This was a lot of fun, and thanks Dewi for your hosting this weekend.
C&C welcome

Beautiful Kay...I like your technique and the wonderful outcome...you made the fish come alive again with the variety of subtle colors and effects; I also like the depth of the fish from the underlying surface and the way you treated the space between each other...excellent.

Looks terrific! It's got the visual rhythm, and the variety of edges keeps it interesting, not to mention the great colour!
