Confluence of the Calapooia & Willamette Rivers
Acrylic on panel, 18 x 24.
Still on the easel, but getting close.
All perceptions welcome.

Very pleasing vista! Your mid ground and distant trees, the rivers and everything else add up to a lovely painting.

Very nice.
You have to love the Calapooia if, for nothing else, the fact that it's so fun to say.
Man, there are a lot of Oregonians hanging out on the acrylics page.

Perfect - sure not like the Willamette going through downtown. It's amazing to see how rivers change with each locale. The trees are so Oregon! Nice work.

Such a beautiful, serene setting enjoyed by the bird.

Great work - I especially like the tree reflections in the background and the ripples in the foreground. I've been to that park many times, I'm up the river in Corvallis.

Another Oregonian here.
Nice painting.
Buck Paulson was just on OPB this morning and had a painting w/ a lot of greens, and he added little touches of purple in a few of the dark /shadowy areas & between some of the distant greens and it really set it off nicely.

Hello neighbors, near and far, and thank you for all your comments.
Rob, being in Corvallis, check out the New Morning Bakery for the month of June. My daughter and I will have a show there that month. She's in the art program at OSU.
Rick, the Calapooia is one of my favorites on the wet side of the Cascades.
I feel very fortunate to live in such a place. No shortage of inspiration.

Absolutely beautiful painting that fills me with nostalgia for my native state. I don't think the beauty of Oregon ever leaves our hearts, no matter how far we stray from our origins. Thanks for sharing from another transplanted Oregonian......

That is one beautiful painting. Lovely subject matter and the heron makes it.
That's a river I've never heard of but hard to forget the name, it has a little something extra in it just like the painting. Good job!
