Hey Steve...been there, done that! I know how frustrating "creativity" can be.
Remember the words of Degas "A painting looks like a battle but a battle that the artist has won."
Here are a few other words of wisdom that may help...they often help me:
~ Half of art is knowing where to begin, the other half is knowing when to stop.
~ Less is more...MUCH MORE!
~ Keep it painterly....don't deny the paint.
~ A painting must take on a life of its own...let go to find.
~ Or, if you want a photograph use a camera.
