Need help, with or without lines?
MY IMAGE(S):
http://www.wetcanvas.com/Critiques/u...br>Dreams2.jpg
http://www.wetcanvas.com/Critiques/u...br>Dreams1.jpg
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: Need help, with or without lines?
Year Created:
Medium: Acrylic
Surface: Canvas
Dimension: 8x10
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!
MY COMMENTS:
I have added the background in Photoshop for reference. I had planned on add the the lines. The idea being like a fence with a title "Southe<br> Dreams"
After painting the background black I like it that way but the silver lines breaks it up nicely too.
MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Which do you like? Any new ideas? Should I outline the lower goose in black?

Re: Need help, with or without lines?
I like the idea of breaking up the black background but not sure about straight lines. It kind of looks like he's looking through a window. How do the lines relate to what you're trying to convey?
How about something curvy, which might allude to water or movement. Or partial ellipses, like an egg or the world turning.

Re: Need help, with or without lines?
My idea was domestic geese dreaming of flying south for the winter and the grid line representing a fence.

Oh, I like that idea! though sad. How about putting another vertical in the fencing material (metal crating?), so he overlaps a bit and comes across as fencing and being trapped from the outside world.

Re: Need help, with or without lines?
Yeah, the first way I had the horizontal line going across the moon and my husband suggested moving the lines down. It does make it look a bit like a window, but it could represnt the "window to their other world?"

Re: Need help, with or without lines?
I personaly prefer the first set of lines. I think it does look like a window, but be it window or fence, the idea of stuck here while dreaming of flying away is there idon't you guys think?

Re: Need help, with or without lines?
Yeah, it does look better before and maybe too explicit. I just didn't understand the lines. Maybe others would.
