Capri cliffs needs sparkle!!

I am just finishing up an oil of some cliffs from the Isle of Capri, which my hubby and I visited on a cruise 3 years ago. I loved the sheer drop of the cliffs into foamy water. The canvas is still wet which is why it has a sheen.
I now need a bit of advice on how to add the sparkle that the sun casts on the sea - I know there are some real experts on this and would love to know how to do this - not only how, but where to put those dots of dazzle! I would really appreciate any advice or comments.
Thank you.

Lookin' good so far. First establish where the sun will be shining, from the left or the right or behind the viewer or above. The sparkle will be a pure white mix with yellow and it is applied only in the high spots where the sun will be striking. And it will be applied with the side of the brush with thick paint (dots and/or thin lines) only in those areas as mention above, you don't want too much...

Correction: The sun will reflect on the surfaces in the water (not high spots, lol), such as the some of the tips of the waves, just a bit on the tip of the foam splash on the rock, some on the foam patterns.

As far as the rocks go, I cannot help, because I don't know where your sun is, good luck! Maybe someone more knowledgeable about this subject will help you better than I can.

Thanks randalljaz, that's certainly true of Marty C - he is an expert in sparkles. FloatingDove thank you for your advice - I think you're right about the sparkles being on the flat of the water. Will give it a go and see what happens.
