In my painting I wanted to convey the beauty and movement of the sport. I am not certain if I have too many highlights. One of my concerns with several sports figures in a painting is to maintain unity. This painting was done using only virtual brushes and paints. All comments are appreciated. Thanks.

Arlene I respond to your post as I hate to see somebody post and the post drop off the page without comment, I am not sure I understand your paintings as I am of the realist sort of viewer I wouldn't say artist.
I like the presentation and like the colour you have used , I can see the movement suggested and find it an appealing image so keep at it and let us see where you go with these!

Arlene, You might be on to something here, (it reminds me of a poster study) but I think the depth and atmospheric perspective here requires quite a bit more thought: the pitcher, closest to us would be most edged, detailed and chromatic (and value/contrasty) but the catcher has even more edgy shoes so he comes forward, right over the top of the pitcher's head..

Does "virtual" mean it is digital ? If so, we appreciate you just writing that!
