New to me product

Liquitex has introduced a spray acrylic product. Could be interesting.

Saw it for the first time at the art supply two days ago.

Re: New to me product

Its taking a commercial tactic on attracting graphiti artists. It may have some interesting delivery of "isolation" coats. Essentialy its prepared airbrush colors in a can.

Can speed up some things....also that fine mist is compelling for subtle gradations and that odd moment of seeing blu and yellow that don't blend into green.

I saw it too the other day in Michael's. My wife pointed it out to me and she laughed that of all the paint lines on display it is the only one locked inside a glass case. I thought probably the people most interested to have them are the yobs!

Have to say, this looks interesting! Not for me, but I can see it being useful for mural artists. And there's a couple artists in my studio complex that use spray paints. Also sculptors and assembly artists who want a paint finish. Very cool!

Re: New to me product

i also read a bit about laying down a medium, say gloss, and spraying into the wet medium.

wet in wet, marbling and other suspensions where you want very fine dispersions and/or gradual transitions

Re: New to me product

Same in my area. The other side of that coin is that it may be a clever marketing ploy. Who knows....
