Cottage on Clinton Street

8"x10", oil on panel. I completed this a couple of hours ago, just up the road from my place. The color reproduction of my camera is pretty gruesome as usual. I also photographed it with my cell phone and sent the photo to a friend with a smart phone. She will email it to me--and if it turns out to be a better photo than my camera can manage--the camera may just get binned!

Oops--I see that he window in the gable end is crooked. Bugger!

IAN nice painting. Check your manual.. you may need to change the lighting setting. I know mine has several to chose from. Indoor;outdor. Incandescent. Neon. A different setting might help.

Not my day(sigh). I have tried every adjustment on the camera. It used to do OK.
The phone photo is small and blurred but has more natural color I think. Not such exaggerated chroma and odd values. I did no manipulating on the phone photo. With the camera, I took several photos on various setting and posted the least bad.
