Use to denote nudity/mature subject matter Still keeping on!

Nothing much, I know, but really to show that I'm still doing it!

This is 15 mins.

I'm still spending most of my time in trying to get outlines correct.

This lady was late in arriving on Thursday evening. We knew she would be about 15 mins late and after the word went out for any volunteers (resounding silence! ) I stepped in and posed until she arrived.

The previous week I was the model for another LD group in the area.

During the break one of our artists asked me if it was me who had modelled for that group.
It turned out that his partner was there and showed him her drawings. He didn't recognize me in person or her drawings until he looked carefully at his own gesture drawings of me, and then realized they were all of the same person.

Don't quite know what that says about the memorability of my looks or his powers of observation, but I thought it was quite funny

Re: Still keeping on!

Excuse my intrusion here, Jonathan- have you tried to draw the shapes rather than the outlines of the figure? How the shapes interconnect and the light/dark will give a more cohesive drawing. Outlines are the most difficult because they are disconnected and hard to measure size and proportion.

15 minutes isn't much time to get an outline down I know a guy who told me it can take 5 hours or more for him to get an outline done. He's an academic drawer. I'd go with Bethany's suggestion looking for shapes to draw, big shapes first and if time smaller ones breaking the figure into its basic masses. Or you could go for a block in if you know what I mean with block ins you get the proportions and directions going without the need to copy everything. Its a basic abstraction which over time as you get better you can modify into shapes.
C&C welcomed, discussions, kudos, jokes.

Glad you are still keeping on and it sounds like you have had one of your problems solved by the good advice you have recieved, draw shapes is the name of the game next session?

I agree with the others, think big shapes and not outlines. As an example with hands imagine a mitten or overall shape for the hand rather than individual fingers.
C&C always appreciated.
