"A Place in the Country"
This is a small 10" x 14" oil on canvas, a peaceful country scene that caught my eye. I hope you like it..........Jen

Re: "A Place in the Country"
That big tree reminds me of a sycamore, which are common and often huge trees here in the eastern United States. Anyway, nice job!

Re: "A Place in the Country"
Hi Jen,
This has that dreamy effect...a very peaceful and calming feel to it. The massive size of the foreground gum tree really promotes the depth you have achieved in the painting. Nice work.

Instantly said Australia to me as I scrolled down without seeing where you are.
Lovely painting, you've really captured the size of those gums.

Re: "A Place in the Country"
Thanks Spiral world, the Eucalyptus or what we call "gum trees" have the most amazing trunks and bark wih varying colours and designs. I think in themselves make a terrific picture.................Jen

Re: "A Place in the Country"
It's a beautiful piece. Love all the colors you use in your foliage...the water is handled so well. And that tree is very impressive.
