First time working with Clay

Hi I am new to Wet Canvas and have been in art school for about a year now. I seem to be really taking a liking to sculpture. Below is a couple of photos of my first ever clay sculpture. We had to do a parrot for class and give it personality...so I chose Harry "Parrot". I am still missing round rimmed glasses and eventually will get them in place. All my teachers really liked it and it has been on display at school since it came out of the kiln. I just thought I would share it here and see what others think.

Oooo, great job! You got the lettering just right, and the Sorting Hat is well done, and Harry Parrot is a lot of fun! You could make his glasses out of copper or aluminum wire - that would be easy to do. What a fun idea! Thanks for sharing!

I have the black aluminum wire for his glasses...I am just trying to figure out how to attach it.

Our tickets are for Friday night - hubby has to get up early to go to work or we'd do the midnight one! I'm a HP fanfic writer too - LOVE Harry and his world!

Back to art!! Superglue on the earpieces would probably do the job, just a drop on each one and press them in place.
