Bicycle Path Study

A new marsh study using a demonstration in Susan Sarback book, Capturing Radiant Light & Color. Continuing my studies from mentioned book, the objective is to explore the use of color, light and shadows.

I had a difficult time differentiating the small tree in the right-side foreground, from the larger ones right behind it - couldn't lower the OPs any further. Probably should have grayed the back tree immediately behind the one in the foreground - perhaps this would have distinguished it more. Was uncertain if yellowing the top leaves on the foreground right-side trees would have been appropriate given the direction of the light.

Re-posted the painting.

Changes were made to the leaves on the tree in the right-foreground to help ti standout better, even though most of it is in the shade.

That's a lovely scene, and I think you got the trees right.

Great job on the colors, too - those shadows are really nice.
