Afternoon at the savannah

As usual, while painting one thing I need to take a break every once in a while and this often results in new painting So, to take a break from my ural owl (wip thread posted somewhere below), I grabbed paints and brushes and painted this fellow.

Title: Afternoon at the savannah
Subject: Cheetah portrait
Technique: Acrylic on wood
Size: 20x30cm

It was fun to paint. I prime wood myself and this time I didn't use sand paper, leaving some of texture made by gesso. I think I like it better than canvas

Thanks for looking!

Ooh, I like this a lot. The lighting is fantastic, and you've captured the Savannah feeling really well.

Re: Afternoon at the savannah

I love cheetahs. Just finished a painting of cheetahs myself. They are a joy. Good work on this one.
