1st attempt with velour - Cottonwood Lake

Don't laugh you guys!!

This is my first attempt at using velour so I painted from a photo of hubby's and my favorite fishing spot at Cottonwood Lake in Colorado.

It was a very pleasant experience and I really like the feel of it. It's really soft and no blending is required.

Thanks for looking (ok you can laugh now )

Paula

Recognizable place! Although I never saw anybody actually catch anything, but maybe that's not the point! I have hopes of doing some from that area too! Those aspen areas of the slopes are already turning to bright gold now too!

Great work....I need to try out my velour too one of these days....I'm so bad about "saving" stuff for something or other which never comes along...lol

"where is my fishing rod..." That distant blue is really creating interest. Lovely
