Re: Lovebird

Well Done , it takes real courage to go that step past your comfort zone and you have achieved it with flying colours .
I definitely agree that the delicateness of your touch should not be seen as anything negative. A very dear friend of mine who used to frequent this site and forum regularly has a real elegance to her work and some of that is because she has a very light touch and her style of using colour pencils has developed more and more over the years and I am always very impressed when I get to see a new piece.
I'm sorry I don't know how to link to any of her past threads but she is in the CP Library-her forum name is frida. It might help give you confidence with how you work .

I do agree with you that everyone's opinion is valid regardless of experience, I just feel awkward commenting when I want to point something out and I often wonder if maybe CP forum members would rather I didn't.

Anyway, I love the extra work you have done on this, I think if you are happy with it then call it a success, its lovely

Re: Lovebird

I really appreciate all the help and encouragement from everybody here. Thank you all so much , I'm looking forward to my next piece (a rose for my mum).
Ali - your opinion is always welcomed, as is everyones, that is why I post my pictures.
I have seen Fridas work in the colored pencil library, it is just stunning what she can achieve, I think I'll have to go back and have an even closer look at her work.
Rosemary - I will sit it to the side for a few days and see if anything else jumps out.
