I can't wait to see how far you've come and what solutions you've come up with.

Re: Help me make this Pochade Box

Think I might copy some ideas from this link- he used only a drill and hand tools.

Now that looked really good and I would definitely copy what he did with the t-bar but he did lose me when he mentioned the bubble level. That's a bit much. He is such a precise guy!

Re: Help me make this Pochade Box

A little update - this thing is almost finished - just need to drill some holes and install the glass palette/tnut.

I ended up making a spring loaded canvas holder for the top - works pretty well.

Next up is to drill the holes for the bottom portion - I've decided to make it more like a french resistance pochade than the sliding portion - don't really have a saw to make those cuts.

If you are wondering where I got this box - check it out on ASW Great deal for the amount of gear you get.

Re: Help me make this Pochade Box

Thanks - here is the back part of it. I just took scraps of wood I had laying around to build it I want to do a better job on the spring at some point - need to figure that out - but it works really well right now.

let me know if you have questions. I'm going to leave this back portion open to save weight.

Hey chris, maybe a small bungie that could be adjusted at different heights.

Re: Help me make this Pochade Box

Finished this thing up last night and really happy with it - thanks for all the help everyone put in on this.

All in all I probably put 3-4 hours work into it and $20 and it fits my needs perfectly.

I'll be putting up my 9x12 Guerrilla Box in the classifieds soon - PM me if you are looking for one - I have a bunch of accessories with it.
