starting with my minimalistic works

Series: Somewhere Above the Half
title: Blue Twilight
30" x 40"
acrylic on canvas
C&C welcomed.

the top half just doesn't carry through well enough in the photo. I mixed ultramarine blue with pearl and when standing in front the top half has a glow about it, that is hard to capture on film.. either that or I don't know what I'm doing with my camera.. another valid option.

Re: starting with my minimalistic works

I can kind of imagine how this would look in real life. I understand the challenge of photographing some work

Re: starting with my minimalistic works

I need to go over the bottom section again.. there is a lot of blotchy blue areas at the horizon line that need to be cleaned up. I'm thinking about using a roller but not sure I want to go there.. maybe a 6" foam spreader/scraper that might do the trick..

Re: starting with my minimalistic works

ok, here is the update on this

I removed the CoA off the back but now you can really still see the imprint. I'll try to go over it again with matte medium
