Made an Italian veggie soup today. Smells great. May be dinner.

Re: Quick Dry Cafe, April 2012
Built a painting board this week. Took a piece of 1/4" MDF and cut it to 2' X2' and then varnished it, after a good sanding. Since I am recently doing a lot of work on paper, it is ideal, inexpensive. Easily replaceable. Can be held firm on the easel.
At the art supply I found some screw top jars for paint. They are supposed to be easy clean. Made by Art Bin. Inexpensive and I can store excess mixes of color. i would estimate they hold 3 to 4 ounces.

Re: Quick Dry Cafe, April 2012
Mary, what a sweet little chap. Love his eyes. You are so funny about his spots - really had a giggle.
We did a hike today in the Alps, pretty tough incline and it took around 3 hours but was worth all the sweat because the views were spectacular - rolling meadows covered in flowering Dandelion like a golden carpet, the rustic barns bathed in sunlight and the Alps, the beautiful majestic Alps snow-capped and glistening in the warm light. We arrived at a lovely wooden Alm or restaurant/hut - typical Alpine, double-storey with beer and wooden platters of home made cheese and other Bavarian delicacies to be enjoyed by hungry hikers. We arrive home pretty exhausted after a long day of hiking, but with that lovely healthy tiredness that comes from fresh air and pushing oneself physically. Will share some of the photos once we have sorted them out.
Tomorrow, I am off to a fabulous creative market in a nearby village. I have been before and am always amazed at the fact that folk can still create things I have never seen before. How wonderful is the imaginative and innovative mind. I am looking forward to the event.
Toddling off now to have an early snack and just lie there and watch one of my favourite TV programmes. Terra X - documentaries of mainly animals and natural phenomena in faraway lands . The commentator is a man called Dirk Stephans who puts his money where his mouth is and literally dives, climbs and explores . Love it. Hope I don't fall asleep .......yawn ....long day.
Hugs for you all. Have a good chat tonight. Will catch up tomorrow.

Sounds Like a Dream Chammi! How lucky you are to be in such a beautiful area.
Mary, you are really going to town on those CPs Good Job! Spencer, how did the art show go?
I had such a great week with my little buddy Sean. He is such a good baby and so easy to take care of! We also had a very busy school week. The K kids were soooo excited about the wedding of Ms. Letter Qq and Mr. Letter Uu. It was great fun. We had 6th grade volunteers to be Ms Qq and Mr. Uu, Bridesmaid and groomsman. We had the wedding ceremony (It was great fun picking the music!) the the cake cutting, first dance and then of the dance. My little ones really got into it. It was soooo CUTE to see them pair up and were so serious about it!! Funneeeee. Can't believe only 4 weeks of school left.
I have not been very productive this weekend.....It's been very rainy and cold. Met some friends for pizza and beer last night. Just reading and looking at dust bunnies and clutter......

A bit of a crazy day here. Lots of cleaning. Lots of rearranging.
There was a lovely hummingbird in my front garden tonight. I always like seeing them. Quite a bit of gardening today. Pulling weeds. Had a rainstorm this afternoon to get things going. Have a slew of tomatoes that are starting to turn. They are Marguerites and have a wonderful mysterious shape.
