Venus de Milo

Hi everyone!
i don't post my work often.. but i'll try to show you a little more! Here's two Venus i made 2 or 3 years ago, from a mold i made out of latex and plaster.
The first one is made out of plaster de Paris, and painted witch acrylic, coated with an acrylic varnish.
The secong one is made out of concrete, with a patina of paint, shoe wax, stain and lots of other stuff.
Enjoy

While I like them both very much, I really LOVE the concrete one! Thanks for sharing them...they are so much fun! How tall are they?

I really like them both but the antiquity look of the second is my favorite. Thanks for sharing.

When my daughter got to her new place of employment, all the "good" colors had been taken for marking your tools. So she has marked all of hers with leopard print

Re: Venus de Milo

I LOVE the leopard print one! Magnificent! I'd love to know more about the mold/casting you did with it. I do some custom resin toys and do silicone molds and resin to cast, but I like the look of that and this is the first I've heard of latex/plaster for a mold. How large are these?
