Self Portrait - redux

20X20 Oil on board
I did this a few years ago.

There was a recent call for portraits for a NY show to be juried by Burton Silverman.
I haven't been doing portraits of late, but the chance to have him look at one of my paintings got me looking around and I decided to fix up some weaknesses in this one and submit it.
I was thrilled to learn that it was accepted.

How does it look?

Of course it was accepted! I think you did a wonderful job! I love the colors, the brushstrokes, composition, lighting, everything! Congratulations! This is sooooo beautiful. I am glad you submitted it! I don't know who Silverman is but will look him up!

It's all so well done! Congratulations on being accepted. The hands, the arms, are wonderful. It's all so expressive. It's open, inviting, happy. Best wishes. When is it, and please let us know the results.
